Welcome

I'm repurposing this blog for something new and updated.

If you're looking for old articles I've written - contact me.

Otherwise, check back later for new/updated content.

...and now for something completely different.

I guess some people don't understand the concept of history and context within the vast amount of old/historical information available on the Internet.

Let me explain. I wrote an article for a trade publication in 2004 that ran long. When we finished editing, there was still a significant amount of material and a few key points that never made it to the article.

I decided to expand these "leftovers" into a "series" of articles I could post up on this blog. I checked with my editor and we changed things around so there wasn't a conflict with the original article.

I noticed that someone was taking exception to the article(s). I have no problem with someone disagreeing with me - that's the beauty of the First Amendment. But this person was trying to apply it to today (5 years later) and starting down the path toward libel and even defamation.

This isn't something any typical intelligent person would do, is it?
Yeah, I didn't think so either.

Now I fully realize that taking anything that far out of context doesn't make any sense and is totally illogical. Regardless, I have decided to remove all of the old content.

So for my "anonymous"* friend out there; email or call me if you have an issue. Be a man about it. Don't play silly games behind faked 'usernames'.

note.
* The Internet isn't really anonymous; you realize that don't you?

** By the way, I never finished the series as other things (a newborn son, new house, and life in general) got in the way.
